Summerlab
Summercourse 2026

12.7.-19.7.2026

This program offers a unique opportunity to work specifically in one’s own field while also observing other artistic disciplines and sharing synergy. The SummerLab is uniquely embedded in the world-renowned festival »Cantiere Internazionale d’Arte di Montepulciano«, which was founded by the composer Hans Werner Henze in 1976. As this year marks the 100th birthday of the artist (who died in 2012), the SummerLab is dedicated to his lasting legacy: we will explore both his diverse repertoire and the educational and cultural-political connections between Germany and Italy. Students interested in these topics are encouraged to apply.

The following NOTES apply to participation: The costs for the transfer to Montepulciano (planned: joint group arrival and departure in a coach overnight, departure from NRW: Saturday 11 July; return to NRW: 21 July) and for the accommodation of the participants in flats on site will be borne by the College. Catering costs (cooking facilities available in the flats) are borne by the participants. Students pay a personal contribution of 130 euros to secure their participation.
